Our Story
A true modern love story, Erin and Bob met on a dating app.

After months of chatting (the exact number of months is up for debate) and a few failed first-date attempts, they finally met on March 13, 2020 at Dobbs Ferry in San Francisco. It was so nice, they did it twice, returning to the same spot the very next day. They continued to see each other daily until San Francisco issued its shelter-in-place order a few days later. Once it became clear life wasn't returning to normal anytime soon, they decided to face it together, and they haven't stopped laughing since.

The Proposal
Picture it: San Diego. December, 2025.

Bob had it all planned, a proposal on the balcony of their hotel room, overlooking the San Diego Bay. The champagne was in the fridge and the ring was within reach. While he waited for the perfect moment, Erin turned on Law & Order and Paisley got a case of the zoomies.

And then, Erin spotted the mahogany box.

Completely unaware of what Bob had in mind, she immediately assumed the previous guests had left it behind. Clearly it was an important box, so she was determined to take it to the front desk. Bob tried to convince her to wait. When it became clear she was not going to let this go, he told her to open it. As she did, he asked, "Will you marry me?"

With Olivia Benson on the TV, the dog running circles, and a San Diego sunset spilling in off the balcony, Erin said yes!

The box never made it to the front desk and the ring is safely on Erin's finger.
